Alternate URL Ads and Cool-N-Save

Thanks to our new sponsor, Cool-N-Save, we've been able to start brand new set of upgrades to Alternate URL Ads. Best news yet folks is - the first upgrade is already in place.

If you haven't noticed yet all your AUA served ads should be loading in more streamlined manner. We'll be quiet on the details for now and wait and see which of our more observant users identify the upgrade.

AUA agreed to let Cool-N-Save sponsor AUA after learning more about their product. In our opinion it could be revolutionary. The Cool-N-Save device costs just $99.95 and can potentially save you up to 30% on your AC electric bill each month.

I personally live in Southern California where it can get hot and according to their calculator the savings I'd get in my first month of usage more that cover the cost of the device.

When is a click not a click? from Fortune Magazine

While skimming popurls I noticied an interesting article worth sharing, When is a click not a click?

"Although the Internet may be the most measurable of advertising media, advertisers and Web sites are actually having huge battles because they can't agree on what they should be counting."

Blog Television the popular video aggregator/search website has joined the ranks of Alternate URL Ads powered websites. BTV has created their own "custom" integration which blends BTV's house ads with Alternate URL Ads.
We're sprinting towards the 5,000 partner website mark folks. At the time of this blog entry we've already reached 4,786 partners.

While we haven't found any issues with the latest round of hardware upgrades we want to encourage our users to submit any "oddities" that they encounter.

You can drop us a line at or use the comment feature of this blog.

Video Buzz is another great example of a 100% Alternate URL Ads powered contextual advertising set-up.

So what does Video Buzz do? Video Buzz is a website that tracks the "buzziest" topics and then identifies associated streaming video clips.

People love sharks. Shark TV shows, shark movies, whatever, thus it seems to reason people like shark websites as well right?

Shark Attack Photos is a new Alternate URL Ads partner website that capitalizes on peoples innate interest of all things shark. We decided to feature them on the AUA blog as an example of a website that is using Alternate URL Ads as their only contextual ad system. That's right, no Google AdSense.

Curious about how you can try this Alternate URL Ads sans Google AdSense set-up on your website? Why not review our quick tutorial.
We've completed the first stage of our hardware upgrades! After a bit of QA testing we'll be moving on to Phase II.
Thanks to you, our partners, Alternate URL Ads has recently experienced some rapid growth. To improve our infrastructure we will be implementing hardware upgrades throughout the week.
